FREE Apprenticeship Prevoc Program

Take part in our FREE Prevoc Program and potentially gain an apprenticeship with our fantastic Host Employers! 

This program will run over the course of four weeks (2 weeks of trade school and 2 weeks on-site), and will cover important information and skills required to successfully join the building and construction industry! All participants will be provided with full PPE, safety boots, and a uniform. 

Program participants will be required to have their own driver’s licence and transport, must have completed Doorways2Construction or equivalent construction prevocational program, and must have completed school in 2018, 2019, 2020, or finishing in 2021. 

Program dates: 

  • Trade school: 8 – 19 November
  • On-site experience: 22 November – 6 December

Apprenticeship Information Session

Interested in becoming an apprentice but want to find out more? Come along to our Apprenticeship Information Session on Monday 1st November.

Find out more about what apprenticeships we offer and what each trade does. We are currently looking for 50 apprentices across carpentry, bricklaying, and painting and decorating, across all of metro Adelaide!

Information Session 

  • Monday 1 November, 5.30pm – 6.30pm 
  • Master Builders SA, 47 South Terrace Adelaide

Attendees MUST have:

Full-time opportunities

  • Drivers licences and transport
  • White card – or be prepared to obtain a white card
  • Completed year 11 or 12 in 2018, 2019, 2020 or 2021
  • Completion of Doorways2Construction or Prevocational programs is advantageous but not required

School-based opportunities

  • Drivers licences and transport
  • White card – or be prepared to obtain a white card
  • Completion or currently completing of Doorways2Construction or Prevocational programs is advantageous but not required
  • Availability to work a minimum of 4 days per week

What is an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a learning pathway that usually runs for four years, and can be through a direct employer or a Group Training Organisation, like us, Master Builders SA.

We employs apprentices, like you, and place you with Host Employers who are professional trades people, looking for an apprentice. We look after our apprentices by providing them with the following services:

  • Complete a Contract of Training with you and meet the obligations outlined in the Contract as your employer;
  • Continuity of employment throughout your apprenticeship;
  • We’ll manage and monitor all arrangements with your Host Employer; and
  • We provide you with care and support throughout your apprenticeship when you need us!

What are the benefits?

As an apprentice, you can take comfort in the knowledge they you’re signed as employee of Master Builders SA under a Contract of Training and are placed with qualified Host Employers, meaning if it doesn’t work out between you and your Host, we’ll make sure you can continue your apprenticeship with another Host.

Our fantastic Host Employers will work with you to increase your on job skills, experience and knowledge base while you work toward gaining your nationally recognised trade qualification! As an apprentice, you may be placed with a Host Employer for any period between 1 week and 4 years.

SAHA Apprenticeship Program

We’re excited to announce we’re part of the Marshall Government’s new Apprenticeship Pilot Program. 

This program creates opportunities for diverse South Aussies to kickstart their careers within the building and construction industry. As part of this program, we have been selected to recruit for Carpentry and Bricklaying Apprentices. As a benefit, all PPE is included and you get paid to achieve a nationally accredited trade.

The Apprenticeships Pilot Program coincides with the Marshall Liberal Government’s new $400 million commitment to deliver 1,000 new affordable homes by 2025, supporting vital jobs in the industry and helping more South Australians into homeownership.
