Master Builders SA is proud to announce the launch of the Born to Build Academy, a joint initiative between Master Builders, Skills SA and TAFE SA. The Academy is designed to support aspiring tradespeople in their apprenticeship journey and help them build long, rewarding careers in the construction industry.
The B2B Academy includes a Pre-Apprenticeship Introduction to Construction course, delivered in partnership with TAFE SA, and offers participants a unique opportunity to develop valuable skills and foundational knowledge before commencing an apprenticeship.
The 3 to 4 week program is FREE and represents a key component of our commitment to apprenticeship success. With an industry-leading completion rate of nearly 90% – almost double the national average – Master Builders SA continues to innovate and lead the way in nurturing the next generation of skilled trades through apprenticeship.
Program Highlights:
- Duration: ~3 weeks (with a possible 4th week for a hands-on construction project)
- Schedule: 4 days a week (Tuesday to Friday)
- Location: Tonsley, Elizabeth & Noarlunga TAFE Campus
- Cost: Free of charge for selected participants
The Academy is specifically designed to ease the transition into the workforce and ensure our future apprentices are equipped with the skills, confidence, and readiness to thrive from day one.
Upon successful completion, participants will be invited to continue their apprenticeship journey with Master Builders SA.
The first intake of the Born to Build Academy commences on 13 May 2025. We’re excited to see the impact this program will have on the careers of our future tradies and look forward to helping our newest team members reach their full potential.
