Project name: Westbourne Park Primary School Redevelopment
The Westbourne Park Primary School redevelopment by Marshall & Brougham Constructions comprised of a major extension involving three key stages; a refurbishment and demolition works of existing main office, a renovation of heritage areas for a new resource centre and a new central staff and student hub. Marshall & Brougham managed delays across the project efficiently and effectively with additional engineering design required in stage one and a complete redesign needed due to the existing roof structure not supporting the new HVAC system in stage two. They completed the additional structure with minimal disruption to the OHSC. Stage three, the builder was confronted with a host of latent conditions, but worked closely with the project engineer to redesign footings and rectify the issues. Despite numerous approved delays, due to weather, latent conditions, three milestone dates were achieved over the three stages of the project and the builder has delivered an outstanding refurbishment.
