Fast-track your licence with a focused, intensive delivery format.

This hybrid version of the Contractor’s Licensing Course is designed for participants with existing industry knowledge who are looking to complete their licensing requirements in a shorter, more streamlined format.

Unlike the fully online course, this delivery is not self-paced. It combines structured facilitator-led sessions with independent learning, allowing participants to move through the content more efficiently while still meeting all required competencies.

Legal Requirements in the Building & Construction Industry

Apply the laws relating to builder licensing or registration
Apply WHS legislation & provisions on site
Apply the codes, Acts, regulations & standards relevant to construction
Comply with insurance & regulatory requirements for housing construction
Apply legislation to financial transactions
Meet building contract obligations
Apply dispute resolution processes to building works
Conservation of the environment
Employment and professional liability
Conditions of the contract, including approvals & financial matters are met
Apply industrial relations policies & obligations relevant to housing construction

Manage Small Business Finances in the Building & Construction Industry

Implement financial plan
Monitor financial performance
Planning, directing and controlling tasks, people and resources in a business organisation
Marketing plan
Determining resources that need to be hired, leased or purchased
Determining the requirements for temporary structures and facilities
Establishing and operating costing systems
Preparing and evaluating tenders
Plan the sequencing of trades

PREREQUISITES:
Sufficient understanding of English literacy and numeracy.

DURATION:
8 hours contact time (Zoom Classroom), delivered over 2 nights (4 hours per night for each unit).
