This course is designed for those who are preparing to apply for their Building Work Contractor’s Licence.
The course will also be accepted for the business qualification requirements for plumbing, gas fitting and electrical contractors’ licences.

TOPICS COVERED INCLUDE: 

Unit 1: Legal Requirements and the Building and Construction Industry
Navigate the complexities of regulations and compliance with confidence.

Unit 2: Managing Small Business Finance in the Building and Construction Industry
Master financial strategies to ensure the stability and profitability of your venture.

PREREQUISITES:
You must have sufficient skills in reading and writing English to successfully complete this course. Translators will not be allowed to attend the course.
If you require support with literacy or language, please let us know prior to commencing the course.
Refunds will not be provided to those who are assessed by the trainer as not meeting the required language and literacy skills.

DURATION:
32 hours contact time delivered over two weekends
(4 days + external reading and assessments)

*Eligibility for CITB funding is determined by the participant’s CITB status at the time of training and through to course completion. If a participant’s CITB registration expires before they are deemed competent, the rebate will no longer apply, and a gap fee will be payable. This is because the subsidy is currently applied at the time of enrolment to reduce upfront costs for participants.
