This practical 3-hour course is designed for officers, leaders and managers who need to understand their responsibilities in identifying, assessing and managing psychosocial hazards in the workplace.
- Understanding legislated requirements, including consultation obligations and WHS duties
- Identifying common psychosocial hazards and understanding when risk assessments should be conducted
- Assessing psychosocial risks in the workplace and applying the risk management process
- Selecting, combining, implementing and reviewing reasonably practicable control measures
- Recording the risk management process, outcomes and control measures
- Responding to reports, complaints or incidents, including WHS investigations
- Understanding how job characteristics, work design and management practices can contribute to psychosocial risk
