This nationally recognised unit of competency provides participants with the skills required to accurately estimate costs for building and construction projects.

TOPICS COVERED INCLUDE:

• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Calculating labour and material costs
• Identifying resource requirements
• Developing project cost estimates

PREREQUISITES:

You are required to have sufficient skills in reading and writing along with relevant construction industry experience to successfully complete this course. You will also need to provide a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI).  Please visit www.usi.gov.au for more information.

DURATION:

3 x 3-hour evening sessions, plus additional reading and assessment activities

COST:

*Eligibility for CITB funding is determined by the participant’s CITB status at the time of training and must remain valid through to course completion. If eligibility changes, a gap fee may apply.
