Master Builders SA welcomes yesterday’s announcement from the Malinauskas Government in kickstarting the 1300-home $1 billion development of the former West End brewery site, to be known as “Southwark Grounds”.
The mixed-use high-density development will contain a diverse array of townhouses and apartments with green boulevards and connectivity to the Torrens linear park and adjacent transport networks.
Members that are interested in being part of this once in a generation project now have the opportunity to tender for work on SA Tenders and Contracts. The first stage comprises 17 townhouses at the western end of the precinct but group sites and mixed use developments are part of the next stages for public tender. Opportunities range from boutique development-ready sites to being a partner with Renewal SA as a master precinct developer. There are development ready sites between 2300 and 3900m2 as well as the 3.75 hectare Master Precinct awaiting suitable construction and development partners. Tenders close on 26 June at 4pm and must be lodged on SA Tenders and Contracts.
