This nationally recognised unit of competency provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to effectively manage and resolve business disputes within the building and construction industry.
It is recognised by Consumer and Business Services (CBS) as meeting part of the training requirements for a Building Contractor’s Licence, including work involving residential building, alterations, and transportable construction.
The course is delivered in an intensive format over two evenings, allowing participants to meet mandatory requirements efficiently while developing practical, real-world dispute resolution skills.
TOPICS COVERED INCLUDE:
- Developing and implementing dispute resolution procedures
- Conducting initial investigations into disputes and identifying causes
- Identifying appropriate resolution strategies and outcomes
PREREQUISITES:
Participants should have relevant construction industry experience and a suitable level of literacy and numeracy.

2 x 3-hour evening sessions, plus additional reading and assessment activities.
