Master Builders Association of South Australia Inc (Master Builders SA) was established in 1884 as the peak body representing South Australia’s building and construction industry.

Born to Build Field Officer

We have a great opportunity for a motivated individual to actively promote apprenticeships in the building and construction industry to the wider community through schools, sporting clubs and more under a new state-funded projects that has been secured until July 2026.

The role is key to actively increasing the number of apprentices within our industry focusing on key skills shortages.    You will provide advice, guidance and mentoring to those considering a career in this exciting industry whilst also educating potential host employers on the benefits of using the Group training Organisation model for hiring apprentices.

The successful candidate must be safety focused, preferably with a trade background.

Regular travel is required through the Adelaide Metro area, and upon occasion, regionally too.

You will have the following:

  • Trade or Industry background
  • High level or organisation skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of National Training Packages and career pathways of apprentices/trainees in the Building & Construction industry
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships

Membership Advisor (Engagement)

Master Builders SA is the peak employer association representing the building and construction industry in South Australia.

We have an outstanding opportunity for a proven sales and service orientated account manager to join our membership team.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position provides a varied responsibility base, and the autonomy to use your initiative to proactively support existing members whilst identify solutions that will support a member and their business.

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting an established member base to ensure they receive ROI for their membership fee
  • Establishing, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships
  • Coordinate other departments to deliver services to the satisfaction of the members and their needs
  • Recommendation of suitable products and services that a member can access through Master Builders SA


  • Proven work experience as a sales representative (min. 5 years)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office inc. CRM Dynamics
  • Familiarity with CRM practices along with the ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Prioritising, time management and organisational skills

It is essential that you have a current, unrestricted South Australian drivers licence and vehicle, regional travel may be required upon occasion.

Experience in the building and construction industry would be advantageous, but not essential.
