Why did you become an apprentice?
I’ve always enjoyed having a hands on job. I had been working in a position I wasn’t happy with for far too long and decided I needed a change. My father and brother-in law are carpenters and they were both very supportive in me giving it a go.
What do you enjoy most about your apprenticeship?
The people I work with every day. They make showing up for work something to look forward to.
Would you recommend Master Builders SA apprenticeships to others and why?
Sam, my host Supervisor, has been there every step of the way, ensuring my safety and happiness day to day at work. I feel very supported and would choose MABSA again if given the choice.

Jaymie was nominated for apprentice of the month as she has been incredibly consistent in adhering to Master Builders SA’s policies and procedures over the term of her apprenticeship so far, as well as impressing the multiple hosts she has been placed with during her time with Master Builders. Jaymie has an upbeat attitude towards work and takes a great deal of pride in everything she does on site.
