Master Builders SA represents all sectors of the building and construction industry in South Australia, from specialist trade contractors to residential and commercial builders, we have a number of different membership categories to suit you and your business needs. We understand that each business is different and can benefit from different levels of membership.

Types of Membership include:

Residential Builder

Residential builders, also known as residential construction contractors, perform project management roles in the building of homes. They plan and implement the construction of homes. Residential builders’ clients are typically property owners or residential development companies.

Commercial Builder

Commercial builders focus on building that fall under Class 2 to 9 such as hotels, schools, aged care, health care, a building used for commercial purposes such as office or retail.  Membership fees are based on the turnover of the business operating in SA. 

Building Consultant / Professional

You provide expert advice as an individual to the building industry such as lawyer, engineer, planning officer, business coach, accountant, architect, project manager , building consultant, interior designer or draftsman. 

Subcontractor

A Subcontractor is a person or business which has a contract with a contractor to provide some portion of work or service. Subcontractors may include such trades as plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry, painting, bricklayer, tiler, cement work, plastering etc.

Renovations & Additions

A Renovator is a skilled worker who is employed to restore or refinish buildings including extensions and heritage refurbishments. While Building Consultants is a professional who carries out a varied number of general and specific tasks, varying in size and importance in the building industry, engaged by either party or their representative, those parties seeking a satisfactory outcomes or assistance in on the construction process.

Property Developer

Property developers organise and plan for the acquisition, development and subsequent sale of new and existing properties. They work out the best use for the land or property. They then plan the property development, including the schedule and costs. They may need to work with architects, builders, and local councils.

Franchisee

A Franchisee is a person who has purchased a business for a min. no. of years from a Franchisor such as V.I.P. or Jim’s to provide a service direct to the public that may require a license i.e. fencing or may not require a license i.e. building inspector.

Suppliers and Professionals

Suppliers and/or professionals who are building suppliers, manufacturers and professionals working in South Australia’s building and construction industry, such as designers and architects or other membership associations with own fee paying members.

HiViZ Women Building SA

HiViZ Women Building SA has 3 levels of membership available: Individual, corporate and student. Members of HiViZ Women Building SA are drawn from the breadth of the building and construction industry, including engineers builders, developers, architects, contractors, educators, tradespeople, government employees, building inspectors, students and other associated professionals.

​HiViZ Women Building SA is a Master Builders SA program to inspire industry change by promoting equality at the entry-level, discovering and highlighting issues, empowering people to see new career pathways and facilitating the development of coordinated solutions.

The program is committed to inspiring leadership, providing unique experiences and quality events across all segments of the industry.
