Commercial/Industrial Building $20m to $50m

SYNERGY CONSTRUCT

Project: North Terrace Student Accommodation

This project inherited the complications of a tight North Terrace address and a heritage building to be retained, yet Synergy Construct managed this brilliantly. The builder’s initiatives resulted in two additional floors being added to the build, and their proactive involvement achieved significant cost savings with no compromise to design. The project was delivered three months ahead of schedule with the final product resulting in a very competitive cost per square metre.

SARAH CONSTRUCTIONS

Project: Murray Bridge High School

This project consisted of a multi-disciplinary and contemporary learning environment across several areas within the school. Sarah Constructions produced an exceptionally high standard of internal and external finishes all while faced with the challenges of working within a live school environment in a remote location. Innovative techniques were used throughout the build, resulting in timeline efficiency. A very difficult project to complete, yet achieved to exacting  standards by Sarah Constructions with an extremely happy client.

Commercial/Industrial Building $5m to $10m

SARAH CONSTRUCTIONS

Project: Australian Naval Infrustructure Headquarters

All projects in this category scored highly, with five projects easily achieving a score that would classify them as excellent. With the quality of workmanship at such a high standard, the complexity of the build on this project elevated Sarah Constructions to the top. The building was partly constructed over tidal water, with environmental consideration for the local dolphin population and the encroaching mangroves adding to the difficulty of the build. The finishes are exceptional and the many issues that had to be addressed and overcome by the builder must be recognised.

HORIZON CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

Project: Pascale Legal Barristers and Solicitors

Horizon has produced a project of extremely high quality that deserves recognition. Early in the project they developed a very effective solution to a significant contamination of the site, reducing costs to the client. Stack bonded brickwork (six metres high in some places), is a feature, using Spanish bricks 10mm shorter that the Australian standard. Horizon Construction Services has been judged an excellent builder in all aspects of their operation.

G-FORCE BUILDING & CONSULTING

Project: Ukaria Cultural Centre – The Garden Terrace

G-Force was engaged by the client to deliver a building that seamlessly matched an existing building, and they certainly nailed this brief. This was not an easy project to deliver, but the meticulous management by the project manager and supervisor produced a result that the judges could not fault. The finishes are exceptional both aesthetically and acoustically. G-Force formed such a strong and positive relationship with their client that they have engaged the builder for future projects.
