HANSEN YUNCKEN
Project: Bice Building Refurbishment and Public Realm
This project required highly complex work by Hansen Yuncken and their team of specialist subcontractors to restore a State Heritage building to be fit for a new and modern commercial purpose. This magnificent restoration of a four-storey building to practical completion within nine months, involved complex planning, use of technology such as drones and 3D modelling, restoring, or replacing a wide array of heritage materials and carefully installing modern commercial building requirements, all whilst meeting the State Heritage requirements. The superb result confirms Hansen Yuncken is worthy of this award.

ENDURO BUILDERS
Project: Bridgewater
This house is an excellent example of what can be achieved to maximise thermal comfort and reduce environmental impact of construction. Enduro Builders have used the building science principles of air tightness, super insulation, high performance windows, thermal bridge free construction and mechanical ventilation to optimise thermal performance as well as incorporating many recycled materials to create an energy efficient, healthy and low impact home on a reasonable budget. They are clearly industry leaders in this area and have displayed true excellence.

GLASSHOUSE PROJECTS
Project: Prospect – Pear Tree House
This project successfully resulted in the subtle renovation of an 1890’s cottage and the construction of a modern light-fille drear addition, which provided a range of textures and spaces to complement the requirements of the client. The blackbutt cladding and stonework areas were extended from inside the new addition to the outside pool and entertainment area, therefore providing a striking integration of the additions. Another stunning project delivered by Glasshouse Projects.

BOWER CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN
Project: Kingswood
The judges were impressed by Bower Construction and Design’s meticulous and stunning renovation of the existing building, and the sympathetic integration of the new addition. Staging of the works allowed the building to be occupied for most of the construction period requiring complex planning that was achieved with minimal inconvenience to the client. An exceptional result by Bower Construction and Design.

Project: Kingswood
There was little to fault on this renovation by Taylored Construction. The project is a brilliant example of outstanding attention to detail with many innovative features displayed throughout. CRAIG LINKE BESPOKE BUILDING
Project: Burnside
Craig Linke Bespoke Building provided the client with a very innovative solution to this renovation with clever use of waste marble pieces incorporated into the floor finish. The project boasts stunning finishes and exemplary attention to detail. The outstanding renovation is a testament to the builder’s abilities.
