On the 5th of July, our brand new RISE program was launched to the public. In addition to early intervention support and awareness of mental illness and suicide, wellness ambassadors will utilise their industry knowledge and mentorship experience to provide this service free of charge to anyone working in the South Australian construction industry.
The Minister for Small and Family Business, Andrea Michaels MP says,
“This Master Builders program is an incredibly important step towards ensuring a safe and supportive workplace for our construction workers. This program allows those who may be struggling to access free and confidential support, guidance and resources to help them through tough times.”
The Malinauskas Labor Government has provided Master Builders SA with a grant of $150,000 to appoint wellness ambassadors to help business owners and workers navigate common pressures associated with working in construction. This program will target business owners, subcontractors, and workers and will include tailored support for female and First Nations members.
